October marks the start of the 2009/10 SIGMA ETC program. Since its inception in 2007 the ETC program has been home to many of southern Ontario’s finest players. It is these same players who have been fortunate enough to move up the SIGMA ladder over the years in truly reaching their potential as collegiate and professional players via the SIGMA FC squads.
The ETC program has traditionally been a place for players to improve their skills both on an individual aspect along with learning simple tactical aspects at the younger age groups to complex group play at the older groups. With training ranging from 1x to 2x per week (dependant on age group) the program provides players a solid foundation and understanding of the game from a pure developmental learning aspect. As every year SIGMA will be looking to travel to the Netherlands with one ETC group and hold a mini training camp and play in a series of matches.
With the start of the 2009/10 season SIGMA is pleased to have training groups for the fall/winter season in the following age groups training in Mississauga:
The program which is home to select talents from across the greater Toronto area and beyond will see returning players in each age group be complemented with newly accepted talents who were mainly identified through the 2009 SIGMA International Camp and the "Talent Days" held in September.
