In Coach Smyrniotis' Words:
"It is great to have two of our players heading to the same school and program where they will have the opportunity to support each other in what will be a competitive environment in the BIG EAST. UConn and coaches Ray Reid, John Deeley and Tim O'Donohue have built a tradition of excellence on and off the field and I look forward to our players gaining from the environment there. I would like to thank the staff at UConn for their treatment of the boys in the recruiting process and look forward to my trips to Storrs, Conn. to watch the boys play to sellout crowds at Morrone stadium."
In His Own Words:
My relationship with Sigma began back when I was 12 and I came to the first Sigma camps. Bobby and I spoke about joining Sigma over the years, and I have came and left a few times for personal reasons. But overall my relationship with the whole academy has been an exceptional one. Sigma has helped me get to where I am now. Even though I have played at other places that have also helped develop my skills, Sigma has helped develop me technically, mentally and tactically so that I understand the game from a much better point of view.
I would like to thank the whole club for the support on and of the field. Guidance to become a better person and player is a extraordinary value that comes with playing at the club. Sigma FC has assisted in my approach to the game we all love greatly. Helped me understand the concept of playing attractive football. I will try my best to keep the name of the club alive in North America by putting in exceptional performances for the UCONN Huskies.
Sincere thanks to all coaches and directors and staff for support and guidance.
